15 Restaurants: 15th Anniversary

Fifteen well-known restaurants join the celebration of the 15th anniversary of Susan G. Komen® Puerto Rico (SGKPR) in partnership with Spoon Food Tours®, and present Dine Out for the Cure, a gastronomic offering beyond the rosé, in reference to the emblematic phrase of the organization: More Than Pink!

Dine Out for the Cure will feature the participation of outstanding establishments that will test their creativity to offer desserts and culinary alternatives with a pink touch in support of the awareness of breast cancer in Puerto Rico. Among these is: Chef Nicolás Gómez (1041 Gastronomía de Barrio), Chef María Mercedes (Gallo Negro), Chef Francis Guzmán (Vianda), Chef Xiomara Bermúdez (il Nuovo Mercato) and Chef Lindell Smith (Perla).

In addition, Chef Carlos Portela (El Orujo), Chef Kevin Roth (La Estación), Chef Ricardo Obaldía (Chocobar Cortés), Cchef José Sánchez (Pera Maraya), Chef Carlos Diaz (l Nuovo Perugino), Janice Delfín (Condal), Thierry Dupont (Bistro de Paris) and Chef Jesús Padilla (Zest Grill Room) will also be part of this culinary initiative.

During the month of October, a portion of the generated sales will be for the benefit of SGKPR and In addition, Renán Ducós, owner of Kudough’s, will make a special donation and Pastry Chef Andrea Santiago, founder of Lulo’s Sweet & Savory, will make desserts available in Cut Butcher Shop, to benefit this gastronomic event.

100% of the funds raised by Komen in Puerto Rico remain on the island to improve the social, cultural and financial conditions that provide educating and treating men and women with breast cancer.

In the 15 years of impact on the island, Susan G. Komen® Puerto Rico has awarded more than 2 million dollars to local non-profit organizations for the early detection of breast cancer, treatment and education on the subject.

The Puerto Rican branch was established on the Island on March 7, 2003. Komen® Puerto Rico aims to raise awareness about breast cancer in the Puerto Rican population through its education efforts on breast health and awareness about breast cancer.
