Originally the Sofo Food Festival started with just a handful of restaurants along South Fortaleza Street hence the name SoFo.
Today, the semi annual festival has expanded to include several nearby streets and over 40 restaurants, making the SoFo Food Festival one of the most popular festivals in Puerto Rico.
This month the festival runs from May 25 – 28, 2017
During the 4 day food fest, the streets around Fortaleza Street are closed, restaurants set up special eating areas in the street and entice visitors with special SoFo creations and menu favorites and music stages featuring popular Puerto Rican artists and groups add to the party atmosphere.
Over 40 restaurants in and around Fortaleza street will be showcasing their culinary expertise including favorites like: Parrot Club, Agua Viva, Toro Salao, Café Puerto Rico, Pirilo Pizza Rústica, Vaca Brava, Raíces, Café Berlín, J Taste, La Madre mand many more.
